Let's analyze your LDL Medium levels

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About LDL Medium

Medium LDL particles sit in size between large buoyant LDL (Pattern A, less harmful) and small dense LDL (Pattern B, most harmful). Elevated medium LDL contributes to total LDL particle number and overall cardiovascular risk, and is best interpreted alongside small LDL and the LDL pattern designation. Like small LDL, medium LDL tends to increase with metabolic dysfunction, particularly insulin resistance and high triglycerides.

What does your LDL Medium result mean?

High medium LDL particles are intermediately atherogenic. They contribute to atherosclerosis proportionally to their concentration and often accompany rising triglycerides.

Optimal vs. normal range

Medium LDL is most useful in context with small and large LDL subfractions. Track trends alongside your triglyceride/HDL ratio.
