Let's analyze your Reticulocyte Count

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About Reticulocyte Count

Reticulocytes are immature red blood cells freshly released from your bone marrow, still containing residual RNA. Your reticulocyte count reflects real-time bone marrow red blood cell production. It is essential for classifying anemias as either production problems or destruction problems.

Also known as: Retic, Retic Count, Retics, Reticulocitos, Reticulocyte Count, Reticulocytes, Réticulocytes, Reticulocytes %

What does your Reticulocyte Count result mean?

High reticulocytes mean bone marrow is ramping up production after blood loss, hemolysis, or treatment response. Low reticulocytes with anemia indicate bone marrow failure.

Optimal vs. normal range

Standard range is 0.5-2.0%. A reticulocyte production index above 2.0 confirms adequate bone marrow response to anemia.
