A few questions help us personalize your report.
Fibrinogen is a clotting protein produced by your liver that converts to fibrin during blood clot formation. It also functions as an acute-phase reactant, rising with inflammation. Abnormal fibrinogen levels affect both your bleeding risk and cardiovascular health.
Also known as: Factor I, Fib, Fibrinogen, Fibrinogène, Fibrinogeno, 피브리노겐, 纤维蛋白原
High fibrinogen increases blood viscosity and clot risk from chronic inflammation, infection, or cardiovascular disease. Low fibrinogen causes bleeding from liver disease or DIC.
Standard range is 200-400 mg/dL. Functional target is 200-300 mg/dL. Fibrinogen above 350 mg/dL is an independent cardiovascular risk factor.
