Let's analyze your D-Dimer levels

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About D-Dimer

D-Dimer is a fibrin degradation product released when your body breaks down blood clots. It serves as a sensitive marker for active clot formation and dissolution. Elevated levels may indicate deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, or other conditions where both clotting and fibrinolysis are activated.

Also known as: D Dimer, D-dimer, D-Dimère, D-Dímero, D-다이머, D-二聚体, DDimer, Fibrin D-dimer

What does your D-Dimer result mean?

High D-Dimer indicates active clot breakdown from DVT, PE, DIC, surgery, or infection. A normal D-Dimer effectively rules out DVT and PE in patients with low-to-intermediate pre-test clinical probability.

Optimal vs. normal range

Standard cutoff is below 0.50 mg/L. D-Dimer increases with age - age-adjusted cutoffs improve specificity.
