Let's analyze your IgA levels

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About IgA

IgA is the dominant antibody on mucosal surfaces — your gut lining, respiratory tract, and urogenital tract — forming the first line of immune defense. Selective IgA deficiency is the most common primary immunodeficiency, often associated with recurrent infections and celiac disease. IgA-deficient patients can develop anaphylactic reactions to blood transfusions.

Also known as: IgA, IgA Total, Immunoglobulin A, Inmunoglobulina A, 免疫球蛋白A

What does your IgA result mean?

High IgA is seen in IgA nephropathy, alcoholic liver disease, and celiac disease. Low IgA defines selective IgA deficiency, the most common primary immunodeficiency.

Optimal vs. normal range

Standard range is 70-400 mg/dL. Optimal is 100-300 mg/dL. IgA-deficient patients can develop anaphylactic reactions to blood transfusions.
