Let's analyze your Progesterone levels

A few questions help us personalize your report.

About Progesterone

Progesterone is the hormone produced by the corpus luteum after ovulation, essential for preparing the uterine lining for embryo implantation and maintaining early pregnancy. A mid-luteal progesterone level confirms whether ovulation actually occurred. Low mid-luteal progesterone is a cause of infertility and recurrent early pregnancy loss.

Also known as: P4, Prog, Progesteron, Progesterona, Progesterone, Progestérone, 프로게스테론, 孕酮

What does your Progesterone result mean?

High progesterone in the luteal phase confirms ovulation. Abnormally high can occur with ovarian cysts or congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Low mid-luteal progesterone confirms anovulation.

Optimal vs. normal range

Follicular phase is normally below 1.0 ng/mL. Mid-luteal optimal is above 10 ng/mL, ideally 15-25 ng/mL. In early pregnancy, above 25 ng/mL is reassuring.
